Blast Furnace And Stove:
In the new era of iron making, increasing
rates of pulverized coal and oxygen injection and higher blast temperatures in the furnace
has increased the heat load on the lining. For continuous and efficient operation of the
blast furnace under these circumstances, Maithan provides lining solutions from the upper
stack to the hearth. The range of blast furnace refractories includes corundum, mullite, dense sillimanite, andalusite and hard-fired superduty bricks.
For the blast furnace stove, zoned lining
solutions based on superduty, dense sillimanite and mullite qualities can
be engineered. These are backed up by Maithans insulating
refractories for greater fuel efficiency.

Furnace Trough:
The trend of lining management in Iron
and Steel production has extended to the blast furnace trough also. In anticipation of
higher throughput blast furnaces, Maithan has developed trough and runner lining based on Al2O3-SiC-C
bonded castables. The design, application
procedures and the actual application and maintenance of blast furnace troughs can be
undertaken by Maithans Application Engineering group and
remuneration can be fixed on the output of hot metal. Maithan possesses high capacity
sophisticated mixer/conveyor for blast furnace trough
castables which can be stationed at the customers site for speedy and efficient
application of the castables.
Torpedo Ladles:
Maithans AMC series of Alumina Magnesia Carbon bricks are best
suited for the wear lining of torpedo ladles with the impact pad being specially
engineered for enhanced life. Backup safety lining and insulations can be supplied to
complement the package. |
